Overnight Trips

Our overnight backpacking trips are a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. Usually limited to previous participants of single-day trips, overnight adventures combine the spiritual and physical mountain-top experiences in a true wilderness setting. The adventure includes teachings built on previous Bible and faith knowledge, and challenge the participants to grow physically, mentally, and spiritually through intentional times of prayer, bible study, and quiet. We will also learn necessary wilderness skills including backcountry navigation, basic first aid and Leave No Trace principles. The trip will build towards a summit (activity or view) which will be the culmination of the physical output and spiritual input.

Overnight trips are typically 3-5 nights depending on the group, experience, and weather. Participants will be challenged daily with a combined physical and spiritual approach to the outdoors. This will include not only Bible teaching and prayer and writing time, but also 5-10 miles of hiking per day. Goat field manuals are provided for participants, and Bibles will also be provided if needed.

Overnight trips take place in a variety of areas throughout North and South Carolina, depending on the group. Wherever the location, you can be sure we?ll be truly in the wilderness, far away from the conveniences and distractions of modern life. (That means no cell phones allowed — although guides will have communication devices for emergency situations)
